Momenti di Transcurabile felicita- Ella Ohrvall

I was very unsatisfied with the ending. The theme throughout the entire movie is that people are all made of good and bad. And you should live each moment like it's important because you never know when your last moment is. Paolo was mainly made of bad, he cheated on his wife a lot, and didn't spend time with his kids or try and help his wife take care of the kids. He already had his last moment when he died the first time. He was able to get more time and repair a lot of his relationships. But the past is still the past. He still did all those terrible things, I don't think an hour and a half of goof should make up for the past and earn him a second chance. I also felt like it logistically didn't make sense for him to have to die again. Especially the same way he died the first time. It made no sense, how was he supposed to time his death exactly right again? and how was the same truck supposed to be there right at the same time again unless they went back in the past? and wasn't his body already at the morgue? That is why I really hated the ending. yes, I think his getting a second chance still showed that he now knows to live each moment and make each moment count. To tries to do good and go back on his regrets, but most people don't get second chances, so why did he?

The scene I thought was most impactful was when he was playing Life with his daughter. I think it showed how far their relationship had dissolved. He didn't even remember getting that game for her, and she had been waiting to play it with him for years and never could open it. I also think when she was reading the instructions it was very symbolic of his situation at that time. It also gave him a chance to repair things with his daughter and spend time with her for once. He also got to reflect back on his time with his wife, and how he always had to wait for the train to go get her. I think the training symbolized, that its ok to waste time if it's leading you to happy moments. It's not okay to waste time if you are only focused on making each moment have to be the best moment ever. Thats probably what led him to cheat in the first place. He was too focused on making sure he was having a great time.

I didn't love all the flashbacks of previous lovers, I think I would have liked to see more flashbacks focusing on his relationships with friends or family. However, I think the flashback of him being a young kif showed why his view of relationships was so skewed. Because he fell in love with a random lady so young and remembered her it probably made a huge impact on his life.

Some things I thought were very Italian were the mopeds, tiny streets, and heavy traffic. I also thought that the tiny cups of coffee were very Italian, along with Paolo's body shape being very skinny. them arguing up in the heaven building over everything using the classic Italian gesture as well. Something I thought was different though, was usually it has been the woman's responsibility to fix relationships in previous movies we have seen. But in this movie it was the mans responsiblity to fix the relationship.
