Momenti di trascurabile felicita Review - Aaron Trinidad

Overall, I liked the message of the movie but it was not one of my favorites. I did think that there were notable themes that the audience could take with them throughout the movie. The first is that we should live life to the fullest but also not take unnecessary risks. We should live every day as if our time is limited but that does not mean we should put ourselves in situations that risk who we are or our lives in general. The main character is seen as very impatient and careless with the way he lives his life. He doesn't actually call anything into question till he has that near-death moment. Then, he begins to think about all the ways he did not give the important things in life his attention. One of the characters really puts this together by saying he gives everything his attention but none of his attention at the same time. He longs for quick fixes and easy mobility but never wants anything more. He is like a dog with a short attention span. Always wanting more but never having enough.

This alludes to what I think is human nature which is that we spend so much time focusing on what gives us short-term happiness and not enough time on the things that grant us long-term happiness which ultimately gives us the fulfilling feeling that our life is worth living. Or sometimes we are so focused on the long-term goal that we forget to enjoy the little things in front of us. This is a critique that has been brought up for centuries and is something that many people struggle with. Despite its repetitiveness, I believe that this is something we should all reflect on continuously. It can be difficult but we have to enjoy life for the small things, what's attainable in our future, and for the things that do not corrupt our spirit. Even then we might not be living life the way we should be but at least we put our best effort.
