Perfect strangers by Joey Marzano

Phones are a very pressing topic in todays world and this movie shows that phones do more harm than good. I truly believe that phones are bringing our society down a dark hole and that the consequences strongly outweigh the benefits. Yes a phone is good to look things up, use apps such as the calculator and clock, or even facetime a friend. The downsides to the phone are social media which causes a lot of anxiety and bad effects. The average American is throwing away four hours of their day looking at their phone. The movie brings up how people use their phones to cheat and I completely agree. In todays world it is easier than ever to cheat. You can privately text someone and have a whole entire life online outside of your own. I do not think that there is anything wrong with being in a relationship and realizing that you love someone else and ending the first relationship. I do think that cheating is really bad if you do not like someone but just use them for sex and then continue on with your main relationship. Cheating is also very detrimental to families when the couple has kids. This causes a lot of distrust within the family and the kids often go through a tough mental state.

Towards the end of the movie, one of the characters said that we should all learn to split up. I disagree with this. I think that if you truly love someone, then cheating wouldn't even be a thought. I think that it is more important to learn to stay together and work out problems than to resort to cheating and living fake lives. I think that there should be nothing to hide on your phone in a relationship, but also you shouldn't even need to check your partners phone because you should already trust them.
